„Our future is in Europe“

That’s the reason why young people from seven European countries wanted to join the conversation and participate to the creation.

Young people from local and regional level should deal more with European topics and European education in the “European year of equal opportunities 2007” and against the background of the German European Council Presidency.

To allow the participation of the young people at local and regional level, a regional conference took place in Germany, Saxony – Anhalt, with the following topics:

- equal opportunities
- european education
- intercultural dialog
- participation of young people in the society

9 local conferences took place in the time 9-25 March 2007 with the partners in Germany (Saxony–Anhalt: Magdeburg, Halle, Quedlinburg), Belgium, France, Lithuania, Poland, Austria and Hungaria.

60 young people from this 7 different countries took part in the regional youth conference in Magdeburg/Peseckendorf from 30 March till 3 April 2007.

The results of these conferences were transparented and documentated on a website.

They’ve been presented on the European level at the Youth Event 2007 in Cologne, Germany, which took place from the 13th till the 16th of April 2007.
